Delete your MathQuest account

MathQuest is a children's math game published by Daniel Han. An account is optional — the game works without one, and progress is saved locally on the device. If a grown-up created an account (an email and password) to sync progress across devices, you can delete that account and the data we hold about it in either of two ways.

1. Delete inside the app

This is the quickest way if you still have the app installed:

  1. Open MathQuest and go to Settings → Parents. The Parents area is protected by a parental gate (a small math puzzle), so children can't reach it by accident.
  2. Tap Privacy → Delete Account.
  3. Confirm. This removes your account and all associated data — both from our servers and from this device.

This clears all game progress, level stars, and player profiles on this device, which returns to a fresh start. The action cannot be undone.

2. Request deletion by email

If you have uninstalled the app, or can't reach the in-app flow for any other reason, email [email protected] with the subject “Delete my account” from the email address used for the account (or tell us that address). We confirm and complete the deletion within 30 days.

3. What is deleted

Deleting your account removes all of the following:

  • Your sign-in credentials (the account email and password held by Firebase Authentication).
  • Your synced cloud profile: game progress, level stars and world completion, any optional display name, your friend code and friends list, and the entitlement state that records which worlds you have unlocked.
  • All progress stored on this device: every player profile, level stars, and world completion held locally is erased, and the app returns to a fresh start.

4. What is kept, and for how long

  • Purchase records. In-app purchases are processed by Google Play and the Apple App Store, not by us — we never receive or store payment-card details. The stores retain their own transaction history under their policies. We may keep limited purchase-verification records where required for tax, accounting, or other legal obligations.
  • Crash diagnostics. Anonymous crash reports (Firebase Crashlytics) are not linked to your account email; they are retained by Google for 90 days and then removed.
  • Residual backups. Any remaining copies of your account data in backups are purged within 30 days.
