The most common questions are answered below. If you don't find what you need, write to [email protected] and we'll get back to you.
1. About MathQuest
What ages is MathQuest for?
MathQuest is built for elementary-school students, roughly ages 6 to 10. Each world is a self-contained slice of the math curriculum, aligned to the Common Core State Standards, and new worlds are added over time.
What languages does MathQuest support?
MathQuest ships in 11 languages: English, Swedish, Simplified Chinese, Spanish, Portuguese, German, French, Traditional Chinese, Japanese, Korean, and Hindi. The app follows your device's language setting; you can override it from Settings → Language.
2. Pricing & purchases
Is MathQuest free?
The first 10 levels of every world are free. Unlocking a full world is a one-time $2.99 purchase — not a subscription. There are no ads, no in-app currency, and no upsells during play.
How do I restore a previous purchase?
If you've bought a world before — on this device or another — open Settings → Purchases → Restore Purchases. The button is behind a parental gate (a small math puzzle) so kids can't trigger it by accident.
If a recent purchase still doesn't appear, make sure you're signed in to the same App Store or Google Play account that originally made the purchase, then try Restore again.
How do I request a refund?
Refunds are handled by the platform you bought from, not by MathQuest:
- App Store: reportaproblem.apple.com
- Google Play: Google Play refund help
If the platform process doesn't help, email us and we'll do what we can.
3. Accounts & sync
Does my child need an account to play?
No. MathQuest works without an account — progress is saved locally on the device. An optional account (an email and password, set up by a grown-up) keeps progress in sync across devices.
How do I sync progress between devices?
Open Settings → Parents → Account on both devices. Create an account on the first device (the grown-up enters an email and a password), then sign in to the same account on the second device. Progress is uploaded from the existing device and pulled down to the new one.
I forgot my password.
From the sign-in screen, tap Forgot password?. We'll send a reset link to the email associated with the account.
4. Privacy, friends & data
How do I delete my account and all my data?
Open Settings → Parents → Privacy → Delete Account. The Parents area is behind a parental gate. The flow removes your account and any data we hold about it from our servers. Local progress on the device is kept so kids can keep playing.
If you also want to wipe local progress, use Factory Reset on the same screen.
How do I turn Friends on or off?
Friends are off by default for every profile. To turn them on for a specific child, open Settings → Parents, tap the child's profile, and toggle Friends on. Turning Friends off again clears that child's friend code and friend list.
There is no chat, no messaging, no photos, and no username discovery. Friends are added by exchanging a 6-character code in person.
5. Still need help?
For anything not covered above — bug reports, feature requests, billing questions, or just a friendly hello — write to [email protected].
If you're reporting a bug, it helps to include:
- Your device model and OS version (iOS 18, Android 14, etc.).
- The MathQuest version (shown at the bottom of Settings).
- What you were doing when the problem happened.
