Delete specific data

Last updated: 2026-06-09

You can remove specific data from MathQuest — an individual child's profile, or friends data — without closing your account. The Parents area where these controls live is protected by a parental gate (a small math puzzle), so children can't reach it by accident.

1. Delete a child's profile

If your account has more than one player, you can delete a single child's profile and keep the rest of the account:

  1. Open Settings → Parents and tap the child's profile.
  2. Scroll to Danger zone and tap Delete.
  3. Confirm Delete [name]'s profile?

This removes that profile's progress, level stars, and friends list from the device and from our servers. Your account and any other profiles are untouched.

2. Clear friends data

To remove a child's friends data while keeping their profile and your account:

  1. Open Settings → Parents and tap the child's profile.
  2. Turn the Friends toggle off and confirm.

This clears that child's friend code and removes their current friends from our servers. Friends are off by default and can be turned on again later.

3. Request by email

You can also ask us to delete specific data — for example a particular child's progress or friends data — while keeping your account. Email [email protected], tell us the account email and what you would like removed, and we complete the request within 30 days.

4. Delete the whole account

To delete your entire account and all associated data instead, see Delete your account. For more on what we store and your rights, see our Privacy Policy.
